6.4.3 The Arbitrary Waveform Generator

To activate the Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG), click on an existing provides port and select ``AWG.'' Either select a pre-existing signal type from the drop down menu (e.g., ``random''), or select ``File'' in order to specify a file to read data from.
