How do you set waveform properties with OWD

Reported by: balister Owned by: cdietric

Component: documentation Version: 0.6.2

Description

Double clicking a component in the waveform window gets me the component box, and double clicking the property I wish to override gets me to the property box. Then I cannot figure out how to change the value of the property so the SAD file contains the override.

I don't think this should be a ticket. After looking through the documentation, if you still find that it's not explained, create a ticket to create the documentation. Otherwise, usage questions should be sent to the listserv.

The procedure in the user manual does not work on the vmware image.

If it does work, you have an issue that needs correcting to make it clearer how this is supposed to work.

Once you open the Component Frame, select the value of the property you wish to change. Push the OK button. Generate the waveform. We have validated that this works.

OK, after more clicking, I think I found the secret, (and I really should upload a picture of this):

After you get the box marked properties up, click in the field with two columns (value and default). Clicking once just highlights the field, to get it into the data entry mode, click, hold the button down, drag, and release.

Please verify this and add these instructions to the manual. I release this may be obvious to people who use OWD frequently, however quirks like this are very annoying to people not familiar with how OWD works.

I also see no reason to create a new ticket for the documentation request.
