Website has ridiculous background image

Description

This is so annoying I had to create a ticket for it; why does the website  http://ossie.wireless.vt.edu have this nearly-invisible background image in the middle of it? I mean, come on. Background patterns on websites went out with  geocities.

Let's try to be a bit more professional.
