Description

I'd like to try OEF, but do not know where to start. Can someone create a wiki page describing how to get started?

Er, I'm really curious what the reasoning is for this bug being invalid?

If you care about the community of people trying to use OSSIE, discussions should be conducted in public.

If this project no longer cares about engaging the community and only wants to address issues privately, please let us know and we will stop paying attention.

It really sounds to me like the OSSIE project needs to make some decisions who the intended user base is.

This should not have been closed.

For now, try the instructions here:

http://ossie.wireless.vt.edu/eclipse/

They need to go on the wiki at some point, but I'm not sure we've gotten there yet.

Also note you need to click on the '+' signs to expose the bits on installing java and eclipse. Since I missed these details and I hate installing none package managed software on machines, I did {{{yum install eclipse-cdt" instead. I guess this makes me a difficult user.

OEF instructions can be found on the trac page, as well as in the 0.7.0 user guide.
