Can I port OSSIE to certain DSP.

Can I port the OSSIE 0.7.4 to a TMS 6416 DSP? If not can you guide me how can i build OSSIE 0.7.4 to a specific DSP like above DSP.

Thank you for your interest. Here is a response based on one of the students' experience.

Porting OSSIE to a DSP would be a challenging task, unless there is a Linux distribution running on it. There are commercial distributions that do this. More importantly, we would need to know the goal. If it is to port the whole framework and avoid a GPP, it can get complicated. If you just need to interface with a DSP from a GPP, then you just need a logical device for it. Another option would be to have a CORBA-enabled DSP board with the appropriate transport mechanism. All different approaches would provide different benefits and require different levels of effort.
