Current Release

The latest stable release of OSSIE is OSSIE-0.7.2. The release is distributed in several forms:

Tarball

Use this Installation Guide for installing OSSIE-0.7.2 from tarballs. If you want to grab the code from our subversion repository, please contact CarlDietrich for svn access after you create a trac account. The tarball can be downloaded here:

VM Ware Image

The VM Ware image is a Fedora 9 image and comes pre-packaged with all OSSIE dependencies, USRP support and the 0.7.2 release. The VM Ware image requires use of the  VM Ware Player. The OSSIE VM Ware Image can be downloaded here:

Login Information:

• Username: ossie, Password: wireless
• Username: root, Password: wireless

Live DVD

The Live DVD is a Ubuntu 8.04 image and comes pre-packaged with all OSSIE dependencies, USRP support and the 0.7.2 release. To run the image, the ISO must be burned onto a bootable DVD. The target computer must then be configured to boot off of the bootable DVD. The Live DVD can be downloaded here:
